Water works workshop

This workshop is designed to get students thinking about the importance of water quality including hands-on water treatment and testing. Perform tests for turbidity and pH and use microscopes to examine pond life.

Beginner level – no prior experience required.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • Learn to predict the result of an experiment based on prior knowledge
  • Learn how to test water for pH and turbidity
  • Learn to identify organisms commonly found in pond water, using microscopes
  • Learn to compare your results with your predictions
