Frequently asked questions

To register for QUT Virtual Holiday Program, you must book online via Eventbrite:

Biofuels – Past / Present / Future

Once you have booked, you will receive an email from Eventbrite closer to the broadcast date with the link and password to join the live show on WebinarJam. You need to book at least one hour prior to the broadcast to ensure you receive the link and password. Each event will have a separate WebinarJam link. To join the show on WebinarJam, you will be asked to 'register' by entering your name, email address, and the password.

To keep your kids safe online, we have decided to disable the chat function. Questions should be asked on @QUTTheCube Facebook page. There will be a post at the top of the page from the moderator, please comment there. Your questions might be passed on to our Street Scientist before and during the broadcast, or they may answer it on Facebook during or after the live broadcast.

The password was sent to you with the link to access the webinar. It's the same password for every broadcast (it is case sensitive): StreetScience2020

You can only access the room 5 minutes before the scheduled start time. The session will start after we login and officially open the room.

If you are unable to login, we suggest re-registering with WebinarJam (these details were provided via Eventbrite email). A link will be provided and a password to enable you to access the page. It may not be possible to enter the room before 9.55am. If you get an error message before accessing the video screen, check that you have entered the password correctly (it is case sensitive): StreetScience2020. If you are having problems while re-registering, try from a different browser or device. If it still doesn't work, it might be a problem with your internet connection. If you were unable to watch our live broadcast, please contact us: thecube@qut.edu.au.

If you have made it to the lesson screen, please note you will need to wait a few minutes (maybe up to 10 minutes) for the video to start. There is sometimes a delay for the broadcast to start. If you are not making it to the lesson screen, then it is advised you close your browser and try again. You can also try from a different browser or a different device. If it still doesn't work, it might be a problem with your internet connection.

Google Chrome is the most compatible web browser when attending a webinar with WebinarJam. You can use other browsers, but Chrome is the best option.
