Refunds are not permitted if you arrive late, are unable to attend, or were dissatisfied with the show. Gardens Theatre adheres to the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice, which outlines ticket refund entitlements under Australian Consumer Law. This applies to all tickets booked outside of a subscription.

Sure. You can exchange tickets to another performance of the same show, depending on availability. Contact the Box Office by email to arrange new tickets before the date of your booked performance.

Gardens Theatre is located at QUT's Gardens Point (city) campus at 2 George Street, Brisbane. The campus is an easy 15-minute walk from the centre of Brisbane (via George Street) and South Bank (via the Goodwill Bridge).
QUT's Gardens Point campus is easily accessible by foot, public transport, private coach, taxi or ride-share, and car. See how to get here.
There are several public car parks at QUT's Gardens Point campus, managed by the university's Facilities Management department. Demand on public car parks in the CBD is extremely high, and on-campus parking on weekdays during university semesters is very limited. We recommend using public transport where possible. There are reduced tariffs for weekday evenings (after 6pm) and weekend parking at nearby QUT carparks. Theatre patrons may be eligible to receive a discounted hourly rate for parking at all other times, however discounts will only apply to parking tickets validated by staff prior to leaving the theatre.
Due to copyright restrictions, photography and video recording are not permitted. All devices should be switched to silent or off prior to entering the theatre. You may be asked to leave if instructions from theatre staff are ignored.
Doors usually open 15 minutes prior to the performance start time, however this may vary. Please arrive early to ensure you are ready to be seated when the doors are open as late arrivals may be instructed to wait until an appropriate break in the performance to be seated.
Yes! In fact, thanks to our new acrylic stemware, you can now bring your glass of wine or beer from our Foyer Bar into the auditorium.
No. Prams are not permitted in the auditorium; however, a designated pram parking area is located next to the box office in the Foyer. We kindly ask that you park your pram in this area before entering the auditorium.
Absolutely. There is PWD access to the theatre foyer and auditorium, as well as up to six wheelchair seating positions per performance. Please contact the Box Office team by email prior to the performance/booking to discuss your requirements.
QUT has an ongoing commitment to ensure that all buildings are accessible for visitors who use a wheelchair or motorised scooter. A taxi drop off and short-term parking zone (5 minutes) is located outside Parliament House in George Street, a short distance from Gardens Theatre. There are a number of designated Disability Parking bays exclusively reserved for visitors who hold a Disability Parking permit.

Yes! We offer a complimentary ticket for companion card holders, however tickets need to be purchased through the Box Office team by email directly as they cannot be purchased online. Please be aware that you will need to show your Companion Card when collecting your tickets.
There are several ATMs located on the Food Court on Level 3 of the adjacent Science and Engineering Centre (P-block), and an ATM located outside the Library (V-block).

Yes! School groups of 10 or more can see a professional show from Season 2020-2021 for $25 p.p., or a QUT Showcase student production for $15 – $20 p.p. One supervisor per 10 students is admitted free.
