The future depends on you: A social movement worth billions
Volunteering in her community since the age of 6, Madison Birtchnell embodies excellence in both academia and community service. The 2018 Gold Coast Young Citizen of the Year, she was also a finalist for the Volunteering Queensland Youth Award, Queensland Mental Health Achievement Youth Award and was most recently selected as Australia’s representative in the 2018 Class of Women Deliver Young Leaders Program. Passionate about youth mental health, social justice, youth engagement and empowering women, Madison has also been recognised with a full Corporate Partners in Excellence Scholarship at QUT.
Aged only 17, she has a passion to continue serving others and hopes to help others through working for the United Nations in the future. Madison will be presenting on how small acts of volunteering can create large waves of change.
